Every step of the way we try to select the responsible, green way.

Starting with the right materials, we utilize natural (and local, if possible) materials, such as cedar. Radiant heating is standard; it iuses less energy for more and better heat. Houses are highly insulated to retain heat. Nature, of course, supplies air conditioning. Underground utilities and electric hot water heaters make for a more sustainable residential community.

Standard interiors incorporate stone tile and energy-efficient appliances.

Acres of our community are natural, wooded wetlands needing no water or care. The few landscaped areas are designed with largely native, salt and wind tolerant plants requiring little or no water. What little water is needed is supplied by water-saving drip irrigation. Pesticides and fertilizers are avoided.
